Deye 3.6–8 kW Single-Phase Low-Voltage Hybrid Solar Inverter
The SG05LP1 is Deye's single-phase hybrid inverter for a house with a 48 V battery: it runs the panels, charges the bank and keeps the lights on when the grid drops, all from one wall box. Six ratings cover 3.6 kW to 8 kW, and what separates them is how fast they charge and how many panels they will take. Every one of them works with lead-acid or lithium banks between 40 V and 60 V.
True of every rating
- Two MPPT trackers over a 150 V to 425 V window, 500 V maximum panel voltage
- Takes a 40 V to 60 V lead-acid or lithium bank, and up to 16 units run in parallel
- 97.6% peak efficiency, 96.5% on the European weighted scale, twice rated power for 10 s
- IP65 case, fan cooling measured at 30 dB, colour touch screen, 24.9 kg on the wall

3.6 kW hybrid inverter for a small home, 90 A battery charge rate
The smallest of the six. It charges and discharges the battery at up to 90 A, takes 5,760 W of panel input with 7,200 W of array allowed, and passes 35 A of grid current through to the house. Rated output is 16.4 A, or 3,960 VA at peak. A fit for a flat or a two-bedroom house where the evening load is lights, a fridge and a room or two of cooling.
Battery charge and discharge: 90 A · Max PV input power: 5,760 W · Grid passthrough: 35 A · Rated output current: 16.4 A

5 kW single-phase hybrid inverter with 120 A charging for a villa
The size most homes settle on. Charge and discharge climb to 120 A, a third more than the 3.6 kW, so a bank refills noticeably faster on a short sunny window. It takes 8,000 W of panels with 10,000 W of array allowed and puts out 22.7 A. Grid passthrough is still 35 A, the same as the 3.6 kW, so the incoming supply usually needs no change.
Battery charge and discharge: 120 A · Max PV input power: 8,000 W · Grid passthrough: 35 A · Rated output current: 22.7 A
Model code: SUN-5K-SG05LP1-EU
6 kW hybrid solar inverter, 135 A charging and 40 A grid passthrough
The first model in the range with 40 A of grid passthrough rather than 35 A, which matters when the whole house sits behind the inverter instead of a small backup board. Battery current rises to 135 A and panel input to 9,600 W, with 12,000 W of array permitted. Rated output is 27.3 A at 6,600 VA. Good for a four-bedroom house with two or three air conditioners.
Battery charge and discharge: 135 A · Max PV input power: 9,600 W · Grid passthrough: 40 A · Rated output current: 27.3 A
Model code: SUN-6K-SG05LP1-EU
7 kW hybrid inverter with doubled 26 A panel input and 175 A charging
From 7 kW upward the DC side is doubled: 26 A of panel input current and 34 A of short-circuit current, against 13 A and 17 A on the 3.6 kW to 6 kW models, so more strings land on the same unit. Battery current is 175 A and panel input 11,200 W, with 14,000 W of array allowed. Rated output is 31.9 A at 7,700 VA.
Battery charge and discharge: 175 A · Max PV input power: 11,200 W · Max PV input current: 26 A · Rated output current: 31.9 A
Model code: SUN-7K-SG05LP1-EU
7.6 kW single-phase hybrid inverter with 50 A of grid passthrough
The 7.6 kW raises grid passthrough to 50 A, ten more than the 7 kW, and takes battery current to 190 A. Panel input is 12,160 W with 15,200 W of array allowed, and rated output is 34.5 A at 8,360 VA. The 0.6 kW gap over the 7 kW is small, so decide between the two on the passthrough figure and on what the main breaker will carry.
Battery charge and discharge: 190 A · Max PV input power: 12,160 W · Grid passthrough: 50 A · Rated output current: 34.5 A
Model code: SUN-7.6K-SG05LP1-EU
8 kW single-phase hybrid inverter, the largest of the six ratings here
The top of the range. Battery current is 190 A, the same as the 7.6 kW, so the two differ on the solar and output side: 12,800 W of panel input against 12,160 W, 16,000 W of array allowed, and 36.4 A of rated output at 8,800 VA. Take this one because the roof is already full and you want every panel working, not because you need faster charging.
Battery charge and discharge: 190 A · Max PV input power: 12,800 W · Max PV array power: 16,000 W · Rated output current: 36.4 A
