Deye 5–8 kW Split-Phase Low-Voltage Hybrid Solar Inverter (SUN-SG02LP2-US-AM2)
The SUN-SG02LP2-US-AM2 is a split-phase hybrid inverter, which means it puts out 120 V and 240 V at the same time on a two-line supply with neutral, rather than the single 230 V used across Europe and the Gulf. Four sizes cover 5 kW to 8 kW. All of them charge a 48 V battery, all accept a diesel generator as a second source, and up to sixteen can be paralleled on one site.

The smallest of the four. It carries 7,500 W of panels, 5,000 VA of output and 20.9 A per leg, and charges the battery at up to 120 A. Grid passthrough to the loads is 35 A, the lowest in this group, so check the main breaker feeding the house before settling on it. Full load tracking runs from 300 to 425 V, the same window as the 6 kW.

6 kW split-phase hybrid inverter for a house with two air conditioners
One step up, and much of the step is in what passes through. Output is 6,000 VA at 25 A per leg, charging rises to 135 A, and grid passthrough to the loads goes from 35 A to 40 A. The array can reach 9,000 W. Tracking at full load uses the same 300 to 425 V window as the 5 kW, so a string layout drawn for that model carries over unchanged.

7.6 kW split-phase hybrid inverter, the size between 6 kW and 8 kW
The 7.6 kW and the 8 kW are close relatives: both charge at 190 A, both pass 50 A of grid current through to the loads and both accept 26 A per tracker. What separates them is output, 7,600 VA and 31.7 A per leg here against 8,000 VA and 33.4 A, and array size, 11,400 W against 12,000 W. Full load tracking drops to a 200 V floor on both.

8 kW split-phase hybrid inverter for a large home or a small business
The largest of the four, and the one to pick if the roof is already drawn. It takes 12,000 W of panels and gives 8,000 VA at 33.4 A per leg, charging the battery at 190 A with 50 A of grid passthrough. Because it shares the charger and the 200 to 425 V full load window with the 7.6 kW, what you actually gain is 400 VA of output and 600 W of array.
