Deye 5–8 kW Split-Phase Low-Voltage Hybrid Solar Inverter (SUN-SG01LP1-US)

The SUN-SG01LP1-US is Deye's split-phase hybrid inverter, wired for a 120/240 V, 60 Hz supply rather than the 230 V single-phase grid used across most of Europe and the Gulf. Three sizes are sold here, 5, 6 and 8 kW, and each one runs panels, a 48 V battery and the grid at the same time. Buy from this family only if the house is genuinely wired split-phase; on a 230 V grid the SG05LP1 range is the right one.

5 kW split-phase hybrid inverter for a 120/240V home backup system

The smallest of the three gives 5,000 W and 5,500 VA, with 24 A of rated output at 120/240 V. Its two trackers take 13 A each, so total panel input is capped at 6,500 W, the tightest array budget in this group. Battery charge and discharge run to 120 A and grid passthrough is 40 A. It fits a house whose backup list is a fridge, lights, a well pump and one air handler.

6 kW split-phase hybrid inverter for a home with 7.8 kW of panels

The 6 kW model gives 6,000 W and 28.8 A of rated output current, and its solar side is deliberately uneven: one tracker takes 26 A while the other takes 13 A, so the two strings are sized differently by design. Total panel input is 7,800 W. Battery charge and discharge rise to 135 A, while grid passthrough stays at 40 A, the same as the 5 kW unit.

8 kW split-phase hybrid inverter for a large 120/240V house or shop

At 8,000 W and 8,800 VA it puts out 38.5 A of rated current, and both trackers now take the full 26 A, giving a 10,400 W panel budget. Battery charge and discharge reach 190 A and grid passthrough steps up to 50 A. Full-load tracking starts at 200 V rather than the 300 V of the smaller two, which helps on cold bright mornings when string voltage is still climbing.
