Deye 3.6–6 kW Single-Phase Low-Voltage Off-Grid Solar Inverter

Deye's single-phase off-grid solar inverter runs a house that has no utility supply, or one where the supply cannot be trusted, from panels and a 48V battery bank. It comes in 3.6, 5 and 6 kW, all delivering 230V pure sine wave power that appliances and motors treat exactly like mains. A diesel generator can be wired in as a third source, and up to 16 of these can work side by side as the site grows.

3.6 kW off-grid solar inverter for a cabin or a two-room house

The smallest of the three carries 3.6 kW of continuous load and charges or discharges the battery at up to 90 A. Panels can total 7,200 W, of which 5,760 W is converted, and its own PV window reaches down to 125 V, which suits the short strings a small roof gives you. Apparent power is 3,960 VA. Sensible for lighting, a fridge, fans and a television rather than air conditioning.

5 kW off-grid inverter for a family home running on batteries alone

The 5 kW handles 21.8 A of output current and moves 120 A in and out of the battery, a third more than the 3.6 kW, so a bank recharges faster on a short sunny window. It accepts 10,000 W of panels and converts up to 8,000 W of that. This is the size most family homes land on once a washing machine and a single air conditioner are on the list.

6 kW off-grid solar inverter for a home with a well pump or AC unit

The 6 kW is the strongest of the three: 26.1 A of output, 135 A of battery charge current and room for 12,000 W of panels, 9,600 W of which reaches the conversion stage. That charge rate refills a large bank in the hours around noon, which matters on a farm or a site where a borehole pump has to run every day. Same 12.2 kg box as the 3.6 kW.
