Deye 3.6–6.2 kW Single-Phase Solar Inverter
A single-phase solar inverter for a house, a villa or a small shop on a normal 230 V supply. All eight ratings sit in the same small 7.7 kg case, so the size you pick is decided by how many panels are going on the roof and what the utility lets you export. There is no battery here: sunlight goes to the loads first, and the rest to the grid.
True of every rating
- Two independent trackers with a 70 to 500 V window and 18 A per string, so two roof faces can share one inverter
- Wakes up at 80 V, so it starts making a little power early in the morning and keeps going late
- 7.7 kg in a 305 x 280 x 180 mm case, light enough for one person to lift onto the bracket
- No fan: natural cooling keeps it under 35 dB, and IP65 lets it live outdoors at up to 3,000 m

3.6 kW single-phase inverter for a small home roof, 4.7 kW of panels
The smallest of the eight, sized for a modest house roof. It takes 4.7 kW of panels and puts out 3.96 kVA, up to 18 A on the AC side and 16.4 A at the rated point. Deye rates it at 97.3% peak efficiency and 96.9% European efficiency, marginally below its bigger siblings. It is the one to pick where the export limit or the meter caps you near 3.6 kW.
Rated AC output: 3.6 kW · Max PV input: 4.7 kW · Max AC output current: 18 A · Max efficiency: 97.3%

4 kW single-phase solar inverter for a 5.2 kW rooftop array
A round 4 kW rating that suits a typical family house with about a dozen panels. It carries 5.2 kW of panels, 4.4 kVA of apparent power and 20 A maximum on the AC side, with 18.2 A at the rated point. European efficiency is quoted at 96.9%. Choose it over the 3.6 kW when the roof has room for another string but the supply is still a standard single-phase connection.
Rated AC output: 4 kW · Max PV input: 5.2 kW · Max AC output current: 20 A · Apparent power: 4.4 kVA
Model code: SUN-4K-G05P1-EU-AM2
4.2 kW single-phase inverter, 5.5 kW of panels and 97% Euro efficiency
A 4.2 kW rating that exists mainly for grid rules that cap export just above 4 kW. It accepts 5.5 kW of panels, delivers 4.62 kVA and reaches 21 A on the AC side, with 19.1 A rated. Only the 3.6 kW sits lower, at 97.3% peak; from 4 kW upward Deye quotes 97.5% peak and 97.0% European efficiency.
Rated AC output: 4.2 kW · Max PV input: 5.5 kW · Max AC output current: 21 A · Euro efficiency: 97.0%
Model code: SUN-4.2K-G05P1-EU-AM2
4.6 kW single-phase inverter for a 6 kW roof under a 5 kW export cap
The 4.6 kW is the common answer where a utility allows a little under 5 kW of export. It takes a full 6 kW of panels, gives 5.06 kVA and tops out at 23 A on the AC side, with 21 A at the rated point. Peak efficiency is 97.5%. Because 6 kW of panels against 4.6 kW of output is a healthy oversize, it holds full output for longer through the middle of the day.
Rated AC output: 4.6 kW · Max PV input: 6 kW · Max AC output current: 23 A · Apparent power: 5.06 kVA
Model code: SUN-4.6K-G05P1-EU-AM2
5 kW single-phase solar inverter for a 6.5 kW home array
The most asked for size in the range: 5 kW of output for a family house with air conditioning. It handles 6.5 kW of panels, 5.5 kVA of apparent power and 25 A maximum on the AC side, with 22.8 A at the rated point, so the AC circuit has to be sized for it. Peak efficiency is 97.5%, and it still weighs the same 7.7 kg as the 3.6 kW.
Rated AC output: 5 kW · Max PV input: 6.5 kW · Max AC output current: 25 A · Apparent power: 5.5 kVA
Model code: SUN-5K-G05P1-EU-AM2
5.2 kW single-phase inverter, 6.8 kW of panels and 26 A output
A 5.2 kW step for roofs that came out slightly larger than a 5 kW design. It accepts 6.8 kW of panels, gives 5.72 kVA and reaches 26 A on the AC side against 23.7 A at the rated point. Everything else, from the two trackers to the 550 V string limit, matches the 5 kW, so the extra 300 W of panel capacity is the only practical gain.
Rated AC output: 5.2 kW · Max PV input: 6.8 kW · Max AC output current: 26 A · Rated AC current: 23.7 A
Model code: SUN-5.2K-G05P1-EU-AM2
6 kW single-phase inverter for a large villa roof, 7.8 kW of panels
A 6 kW unit for a large villa or a shop that runs through the afternoon. It takes 7.8 kW of panels, 6.6 kVA of apparent power and 30 A maximum on the AC side, with 27.3 A rated, which is enough current that the AC cable and breaker need checking before install. It still cools itself with no fan and still weighs 7.7 kg.
Rated AC output: 6 kW · Max PV input: 7.8 kW · Max AC output current: 30 A · Apparent power: 6.6 kVA
Model code: SUN-6K-G05P1-EU-AM2
6.2 kW single-phase inverter, the biggest in Deye's G05P1 range
The largest single-phase unit here, for the roof that has run out of space rather than ambition. It carries 8.1 kW of panels, 6.82 kVA and 31 A maximum on the AC side, with 28.2 A at the rated point. Past this size Deye's answer is a three-phase machine, so if the property has three phases available it is worth comparing before ordering.
Rated AC output: 6.2 kW · Max PV input: 8.1 kW · Max AC output current: 31 A · Rated AC current: 28.2 A
Model code: SUN-6.2K-G05P1-EU-AM2
