Deye 15–25 kW Three-Phase Solar Inverter
The SUN-G05 is Deye's three-phase string inverter for roofs that sell power to the grid rather than store it, from a 15 kW shop roof up to a 25 kW warehouse array. Every rating runs two independent MPPT trackers and holds 98% European efficiency, so the choice comes down to how many panels you have and how much current your board can carry. Pick by array size first, then check the output current against your existing supply.
True of every rating
- Two independent MPPT trackers on every rating, so a roof split across two pitches runs as two separate strings
- 98% European efficiency across the whole range, the weighted figure that reflects a real day rather than one peak moment
- IP65 sealing lets the unit sit outdoors on a wall, and it keeps working from -25°C to 60°C
- Current distortion stays under 3% THDi, which is what most utilities ask for on a three-phase connection

15 kW three-phase string inverter for a small commercial rooftop
The 15 kW is the odd one in this range and the quietest, running under 40 dB where the rest sit at 50 dB. Its two trackers are not matched: one takes 13 A and the other 26 A, and the string ceiling is 1000 V rather than the 1100 V the bigger units allow. You can fit 19.5 kW of panels to it, and it returns 22.7 A per phase at rated output with 16.5 kVA available.
Max efficiency: 98.5% · Panel headroom: 19.5 kW · Max string voltage: 1,000 V · Noise: under 40 dB

18 kW three-phase solar inverter for a 23 kW rooftop panel array
Step up from the 15 kW and both trackers take 26 A each, so 23.4 kW of panels can go on the roof and strings may run to 1100 V. It gives 27.3 A per phase at its rated 18 kW, with 19.8 kVA at the ceiling, which is the usual sizing for a workshop or a small hotel. The array needs to reach 500 V before the inverter will hold full output.
Panel headroom: 23.4 kW · Max apparent power: 19.8 kVA · Rated output current: 27.3 A per phase · Full-output PV window: 500-850 V
Model code: SUN-18K-G05
20 kW three-phase grid-tie inverter for a mid-size factory roof
It takes the same 28.6 kW of panels as the 22 kW model but carries a lower AC rating, which makes it the one to pick when the array is generous and the grid connection is not. Rated output is 30.3 A per phase, rising to 22 kVA of apparent power. Its full-output window opens at 500 V, the same as the 18 kW, so a string layout can be copied straight across from that unit.
Panel headroom: 28.6 kW · Max apparent power: 22 kVA · Rated output current: 30.3 A per phase · Full-output PV window: 500-850 V
Model code: SUN-20K-G05
22 kW three-phase string inverter sized for a 28.6 kW solar array
The 22 kW accepts the same 28.6 kW of panels as the 20 kW but converts more of it, giving 33.4 A per phase and 24.2 kVA. Its full-output window starts higher, at 550 V, so strings need an extra module or two compared with a 20 kW build to keep it at rated power through the middle of the day. A sensible choice where the roof is already full and the supply can carry the extra current.
Panel headroom: 28.6 kW · Max apparent power: 24.2 kVA · Rated output current: 33.4 A per phase · Full-output PV window: 550-850 V
Model code: SUN-22K-G05
23 kW three-phase solar inverter for a large warehouse rooftop
A narrow step above the 22 kW: 29.9 kW of panels instead of 28.6 kW, and 34.9 A per phase instead of 33.4 A. Peak AC output reaches 38.4 A with 25.3 kVA of apparent power. It shares the 22 kW model's 550 V full-output threshold, so a string design carries over from that unit unchanged, and the extra 1.3 kW of panel headroom is what you are actually buying.
Panel headroom: 29.9 kW · Max apparent power: 25.3 kVA · Rated output current: 34.9 A per phase · Peak AC current: 38.4 A
Model code: SUN-23K-G05
25 kW three-phase string inverter, the largest G05 on the shelf
The biggest G05 here takes 32.5 kW of panels, close to 40% more than the 18 kW, and returns 37.9 A per phase at its rated 25 kW. Apparent power tops out at 27.5 kVA and peak AC current at 41.7 A, so the outgoing breaker and cable want sizing against that figure, not against the 25 kW on the label. It suits a full factory or warehouse roof on a three-phase supply.
Panel headroom: 32.5 kW · Max apparent power: 27.5 kVA · Rated output current: 37.9 A per phase · Peak AC current: 41.7 A
