Power

The SUN-BK is an all-in-one solar battery, an inverter and a 2.56 kWh LiFePO4 pack in one sealed box you hang outside. Deye's own table prints four ratings against the same cabinet and the same battery, so what you are choosing here is inverter power alone: 800 W, 1,600 W, 2,000 W or 2,500 W. Everything else, down to the 30 kg weight, is identical across the four.

True of every rating

  • One 2.56 kWh LiFePO4 pack at 51.2 V behind every rating, in the same 30 kg case
  • Four solar inputs tracking 20 to 55 V, one panel each, up to 4,400 W of PV
  • Backs up the connected load in under 4 ms, and doubles its rating for 10 seconds
  • IP65 with a colour screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LoRa, three units in parallel

800 W all-in-one solar battery for a balcony or single-room backup

This is the 800 W member of the BK range, and Deye's own table lists the same 2.56 kWh cabinet at 800 W, 1,600 W, 2,000 W and 2,500 W, with the battery and the box identical across all four. Off grid it pushes 2,500 W, and twice its rating for ten seconds. Charge and discharge peak at 50 A, grid passthrough at 30 A, and it weighs 30 kg at 560 by 330 by 210 mm.

Rated AC output: 800 W · Off-grid output: 2,500 W · Max PV input: 4,400 W across four trackers · Weight: 30 kg

1,600 W all-in-one hybrid ESS with 2.56 kWh of storage and four MPPTs

Rated 1,600 W continuous, 7.3 A in normal running with 8 A at the ceiling, plus 30 A of grid passthrough for the loads it is not carrying itself. Off grid it will hold 2,500 W, and the battery moves at up to 50 A in either direction. Conversion is 96.5% at best and 96% on the European weighting. Three units can be paralleled for 7.5 kW if the flat later grows into a house.

Rated AC output: 1,600 W · Battery: 2.56 kWh at 51.2 V · Max PV input: 4,400 W · Max charge and discharge current: 50 A

Model code: SUN-BK160

2,000 W all-in-one inverter and battery for a small home or one circuit

One box of 560 by 330 by 210 mm holds the inverter and 2.56 kWh of battery, so there is no DC wiring between two devices to get wrong. It runs 2,000 W continuously and 2,500 W off grid, passes 30 A of grid current through to the load, and takes 4,400 W of panels across four independent MPPT inputs. Three units run in parallel for 7.5 kW when the load grows.

Rated output: 2,000 W · Battery energy: 2.56 kWh · Max panel input: 4,400 W · Units in parallel: 3 (up to 7.5 kW)

Model code: SUN-BK200

2,500 W all-in-one solar battery, the largest in the SUN-BK range

The 250 sits at the top of the family, at 2,500 W continuous against 2,000 W for the BK200 and 800 W for the BK80, drawing 12.5 A maximum on the grid side. It doubles to 5,000 W for ten seconds when a motor starts. Three units can be paralleled for 7.5 kW, and grid passthrough is 30 A. The pack charges and discharges at up to 50 A.

Continuous AC output: 2,500 W (12.5 A max) · Off-grid surge: 5,000 W for 10 seconds · Parallel capacity: 3 units, up to 7.5 kW · Battery charge and discharge: 50 A
